Lost in the Old Town
夏天的时候，小明和小红去南方旅游。
Summer (POSS) time, Xiaoming and Xiaohong go south travel.
One summer, Xiaoming and Xiaohong traveled south.
他们到了一个很旧的小城市。
They arrive (PERF) one (M) very old (POSS) small city.
They arrived in a very old little town.
那儿的街道又小又长。
There (POSS) street again small again long.
The streets were small and long.
小红想看一家有名的旧书店。
Xiaohong want look one (M) famous (POSS) old book-shop.
Xiaohong wanted to see a famous old bookshop.
他们一边走，一边看。
They one-side walk, one-side look.
They walked and looked around.
过了一个小时，他们发现自己已经不知道在哪儿了。
Pass (PERF) one (M) hour, they discover self already not know at where (PERF).
An hour later, they realized they had no idea where they were.
小明看地图，可是地图上没有这些街道。
Xiaoming look map, but map top not have these streets.
Xiaoming checked the map, but these streets weren’t on it.
小红有点儿担心：“天快黑了。”
Xiaohong a-bit worry: "Sky soon dark (PERF)."
Xiaohong started to worry: “It’ll be dark soon.”
他们走到一家小商店。
They walk to one (M) small shop.
They came to a small shop.
店里有一位老爷爷。
Shop inside have one (M) old grandpa.
An older grandpa was inside.
小明说：“您好，我们找不到路了。”
Xiaoming says: "Hello, we cannot find road (PERF)."
Xiaoming said, “Hello — we’re lost.”
老爷爷笑了：“坐下来，先喝杯热茶。”
Old grandpa laugh (PERF): "Sit-down come, first drink cup hot tea."
The grandpa smiled, “Sit down. Have some hot tea first.”
他们坐下，喝了茶。
They sit-down, drink (PERF) tea.
They sat and drank.
老爷爷说：“在我们这儿，最快的办法是慢慢走。”
Old grandpa says: "At our here, fastest (POSS) way is slowly walk."
He said, “Here, the fastest way out is to walk slowly.”
他给他们画了一张简单的地图。
He give them draw (PERF) one (M) simple (POSS) map.
He drew them a simple map.
他说：“跟着月亮走，向北。”
He says: "Follow (CONT) moon walk, toward north."
He said, “Follow the moon, head north.”
他们谢谢他，开始往北走。
They thank him, start toward north walk.
They thanked him and headed north.
过了二十分钟，他们看见了自己的宾馆。
Pass (PERF) twenty minute, they see (PERF) self (POSS) hotel.
Twenty minutes later, they saw their hotel.
小红说：“这个旧城市真有意思。”
Xiaohong says: "This (M) old city really have-meaning."
Xiaohong said, “This old town is fascinating.”
小明笑：“以后我们再来，可是不能没有那张地图。”
Xiaoming laugh: "After we again come, but cannot not have that (M) map."
Xiaoming laughed, “We’ll come back — but never without that map.”
